The idea is simple. We find a date and place to introduce our characters and their stories to everyone who is eager to hear it.

Why make an event out of it?

To get to know each other in a bigger round better. Get interested in other character's stories, might join them on their roleplay, motivate newbies or roleplay interested people to come join the fun!

Where do we air the event?

As Anehki suggested one of the three Adventurer Guilds come to mind, as they are easy accessable by even new players. Maybe we could roll out the campaign at every one of them simultaniously or find more dates to promote in every area once.

How do I participate?

Basically everyone can participate for the sake of just getting to know each other. If you really wish to inspire people onto your Roleplay, you might want think on how you are presenting yourself. Some basic questions may help you with getting things done:

Who is your character? - Seems like a dumb question, but really… who are they? Not only namewise or how old they are, what sex they have. Did you consider the specialties of their race (physical appearance, prefered jobs, social status and society system etc.)? Miqo'te are said to be good hunters. Do you play a Miqo'te, but aren't into hunting? Why is that for example?

Where do you come from? - Minding your origin tends to set up some already interesting facts. Did they live their whole life in Gridania and took up adventuring just recently? Did they come from foreign countries to Eorzea and why? Think about it.

What did my character live through until now, what plans do I have for the future? - You should think up on what feats your character has done so far. Things that further identify your character. Are you into following the storyline given by Final Fantasy 14 or are you only using the basic of information given about the realm etc.? What is your character planning on accomplishing with how things are right now for him? What's his motivation to hunt down Mr. X or make a living by helping all kinds of people?

I guess you get the general idea ;)

Also keep in mind that some people might not be as far as you storyline wise. Don't go and spoil them imporant plot points, even though your character builds up on it!

And most importantly: Have fun telling others about your character, but also listening to their stories!
